Uh Oh

I woke up this morning to some brown spotting. Apart from this new development, I'd have no concerns about my pregnancy. I still have the same mild, on-and-off cramping I've had since shortly after transfer. My nausea arrived within an hour of waking up, just as it has the last three mornings.

This spotting is pretty similar to what I had with my chemical pregnancy in August 2009. I know that there is nothing that can be done; what will be, will be.

I am 6 weeks, 3 days pregnant today. I hope this isn't another miscarriage. I guess I won't know until Monday.

  1. S, some spotting in early pregnancy is normal, especially in IVF cycles. Try to relax and not worry too much!

  2. I can understand that you must be stressed about seeing some spotting but as I am sure you have read it can be very normal. Thinking of you and praying that it is just a normal side effect.

  3. I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you. I myself didn't have any spotting during my pregnancy last summer but a lot of the women in my due date group did. *sticky bean, sticky bean*

  4. Oh S, I'm sorry you have this stress right now. I'm sure you know that brown is good. Also, many women experience spotting in the first trimester (I had one day of light spotting). What my dr recommends is to rest and drink lots of water. So hoping everything will be ok.

  6. I know it is very scary but please don't panic. I had spotting and bleeding during first tri of both pregnancies and it was nothing. It is very disconcerting but my re said like 90% of their patients have some spotting. Thinking good thoughts for you all.

  8. Spotting is normal in pregnancy. It could just be old blood from implantation. I had spotting with the triplets around 8 weeks or so. Apparently, it's pretty normal for multiples as well.

I know it is easier said than done, but try not to worry too much about it. I will be keeping you in my thoughts.

  9. Hoping that all will be well tomorrow at your scan. Remember that bleeding is common in early pregnancy.

  10. Cheese and rice, are you kidding me?

Pls, pls, pls try to take comfort in all my stories if you recall them. I bled like a banshee and knock on wood, all is well. Remember, my RE said it was very common w FET and DE.

I know it is terrifuckingfying. I am sitting by your side.
